Busy Woman's Fitness Project to expand with BFS support

A fitness firm geared towards busy working women is expanding in the North West with help from funding provider Business Finance Solutions (BFS).

Rachel Sanderson and Steph Rice, the personal trainers behind Busy Woman’s Fitness Project (BWFP), plan to take the company into new areas, purchase additional equipment and invest in marketing with the BFS support.

Having founded BWFP in London in 2004, Rachel and Steph later brought their women-only fitness and nutrition services business to the Manchester and Cheshire area with an operation in Heaton Moor, Stockport.

The duo have trained a number of high-profile clients, including pop star Pink and journalist author Tina Brown.

BWFP’s services include outdoor fitness bootcamps, one-on-one personal training, nutrition coaching and supper clubs.

Rachel and Steph’s plans for the company include publishing a healthy lifestyle book and launching a BWFP luxury weekend retreat in UK and, later, overseas.

The pair will also aim to continue growing their personal training team across East Cheshire.

In addition to the help from BFS, BWFP also received business planning and growth strategy support from the Business Growth Hub.

Rachel said: “The support from all the teams at Business Finance Solutions and the Business Growth Hub has been invaluable and will really help us to expand the range and reach of our services which are very much aimed at professionals, female entrepreneurs and busy mums who want to get fit and healthy.

“We already have over 50 clients in Heaton Moor who love the lifestyle packages we provide because they deliver results but don’t take over their life.

She continued: “What makes Steph, and I, very different from most trainers is that we really understand the women who come to us, having both struggled with weight gain alongside a lack of confidence ourselves.

“Now we’re both on the other side of 40, and are living proof that any woman who wants to make positive changes to become healthier, fitter and happier can do so.”

BFS’ Xiao Liu commented: “Rachel and Steph have seen a huge demand for their services because they have developed them around their clients’ needs and lifestyles, creating a great business model that will allow them to expand and diversify into a range of other areas.

“Like many of our clients Rachel and Steph left behind corporate roles to follow their dream of starting up their own business and we’re very proud to have been able to support them with a Start Up Loan to help fund their continued success and expansion in the North West.”
