Kettlebell Kitchen brings clean-eating to First Street Manchester

Clean-eating food operator Kettlebell Kitchen is launching at Manchester’s First Street neighbourhood.

The company, which has another site in Ancoats, will open at the 20-acre development this summer.

Kettlebell Kitchen’s First Street venue will target office workers based at the scheme along with students at the nearby Vita Student Living complex.

Kettlebell Kitchen was founded by entrepreneur and Crossfit fanatic Carley Jones.

The deal follows a raft of recent leisure signings at First Street.

Junkyard Golf Club and Masterchef winner Simon Wood’s Wood Manchester restaurant signed up for space at the development, joining a portfolio of established outlets including Gasworks Brew Bar, The Liquor Store, The Laundrette and The Indian Tiffin Room.

The First Street neighbourhood launched two years ago and was acquired by investment firm PATRIZIA in 2015.

Mike Tyler, head of asset management at PATRIZIA UK, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Kettlebell Kitchen as the latest occupier to take up residence at First Street.

“It is another independent operator which will bring a complementary food and drink offering to First Street. The estate has proved to be a huge draw for visitors since it launched just over two years ago.”

He added: “First Street’s completed line up means that it has all of the right ingredients to be one of the city’s most popular leisure destinations.”
