Manchester Assistant Planner Nominated For Top National Research Award

Amy Kennedy, an Assistant Planner in Deloitte Real Estate’s Manchester team, has been shortlisted for the 2017 RTPI Awards for Research Excellence as a finalist in the Student Award category.

Amy joined Deloitte Real Estate’s Planning Team in Manchester in September 2016 as an Assistant Planner. She has been shortlisted for her MSc research which examined the impact of land ownership patterns on housing delivery in Brighton & Hove.

The Awards for Research Excellence are run by the RTPI to recognise and promote high quality, impactful spatial planning research from RTPI accredited planning schools, and planning consultancies around the world.

Amy said: “I am thrilled to have made the shortlist for the 2017 RTPI Awards for Research Excellence, and am very grateful to Dr Helen Walker and Andrew Coleman at the University of Brighton Planning School for submitting my Masters research for this prestigious award.”

The winners will be announced on 12 September during the 2017 UK-Ireland Planning Research Conference at Queen’s University Belfast.
