Tottenham Hotspur stadium update: Last vestiges of White Hart Lane removed as bowl takes shape
New aerial images from the construction site for Tottenham Hotspur’s £750m stadium development have shown the last remnants of White Hart Lane being removed as the new ground’s bowl takes shape.
The club announced earlier this week that the final visible remnants of its historic former ground had now been removed from the site, making way for the new single-tier South Stand.
Steel work for the stand, which will be the biggest single tier stand in Europe once it is completed, is already in place and sits on ground formerly occupied by White Hart Lane
Elsewhere at the site the new North, East and West stands continue to grow out of the ground with the 61,000 seater ground’s distinctive bowl shape now visible for passersby.
Tottenham have grand plans for their new ground, which they claim will be one of the most technologically advanced in the world following an agreement signed last month with HPE.
Meanwhile, the club’s plans for its glitzy hospitality and catering provision will see it providing some of the plushest season tickets around, with plans for Roux Family fine dining, half-time cheeseboards and a glass tunnel which will allow well-heeled punters see the teams lining up before kick-off.
