Sheffield tech firm secures contract wins worth more than £4m
Millgate, the Sheffield-based tech firm, has secured contract wins worth more than £4m after receiving an international accreditation.
As a result of achieving the ISO 9001 accreditation mark, Millgate was able to join the Crown Commercial Supplier framework which enabled the firm to bid on public sector work.
The ISO 9001 Quality Management System is the international standard organisations use to demonstrate their ability to ‘consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements’.
As a result of the accreditation, Millgate has gone on to secure more than £4m in public sector contracts including its largest ever order of £1.5m.
Chris Calvert, managing director of Millgate, said: “The ISO9001 accreditation was an important achievement as it is a seal of high customer service standard and best work practices.
“The accreditation has added gravitas to our status in the public sector and we’ve been able to develop into new markets and secure a lot of new business, not least of which our largest ever order to date.”
The firm, which is based on Vantage Drive in Sheffield, recently made the top three in a list of Sheffield’s top 10 tech firms closing in on £1bn annual turnover compiled by Sheffield Hallam University.
