Hull’s MKM Building Supplies continues national expansion with 48th branch opening
MKM Building Supplies has opened a new branch in Newent, creating 14 jobs in the market town near Gloucester.
The new branch at Newent Business Park becomes the Hull-headquartered builders’ merchant’s 48th nationally, which will feature kitchen and bathroom showrooms.
MKM Newent will contain the merchant’s usual array of landscaping, plumbing, roofing, heating, timber and building supplies.
MKM is headquartered at Stoneferry Road in Hull, having been founded by David Kilburn and Peter Murray in 1995.
Having opened in Honiton, Devon last year, Newent is MKM’s fourth southernmost branch. Most recently, branches were opened in Crewe, south Manchester and Galashiels.
Paul Donaldson, one of two branch directors at the Newent Business Park site, said: “We’ve put together a fantastic team of local people here at MKM Newent.
‘We’ll be showing Newent and the surrounding areas what MKM’s award-winning brand is all about - fantastic product range, great prices and unbeatable customer service.
“My team are delighted to have this opportunity to strike up some fantastic relationships with the public and trade – pop in for a coffee, butty and a chat!”
