Cannock cafe supports charity event
A popular Cannock café is supporting a charity event this week to raise funds for a local woman fighting a brain tumour.
The TamFest event, this Friday from 6pm until midnight, is being hosted by Caffe Del Nino at High Green Court.
Organisers aim to raise funds towards an £8,000 target to help Cannock’s Tami Leighton who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Kerst Ward, managing director at Caffe Del Nino, said: “Tami loves festivals so, along with her family and friends, we’ve put together an evening of live music and fundraising.
“We have local musicians coming to entertain everyone, and guests are also invited to bring their own vinyl for the Magnificent 7x7 to play. We will also be serving a fantastic Tamblini cocktail, and there will be a raffle.
“We are asking caring Cannock to come out in force and support Tami and her family”
Entry to the event, at 4 High Green Court, is £3 on the door and all funds raised on the night will go towards the Tami Leighton crowdfund.
Neil Edginton of High Green Court added: “Caffe Del Nino has established itself a reputation for great live music nights and supporting local arts and musicians.
“This event is a great example of the solid community spirit at High Green Court and we wish the organisers a very successful evening.”
High Green Court, on Newhall Street in the heart of Cannock town centre, offers a selection of high street names and specialist shops, restaurants and bars, with a secure car parking available from just £1 per hour.
