Salford construction firm appointed to deliver two North West housing schemes in £2.3m deal
ForWorks, the Salford-based construction firm, has been appointed to deliver two new housing schemes in the North West.
The company will develop sites for Clarion Housing Group, totalling 23 new homes in a deal worth £2.3m.
ForWorks is set to build 12 properties for affordable rent, including six two-bedroom houses and six one-bedroom apartments, at former garage sites in Newton-le-Willows, along with seven two-bedroom homes and four one-bedroom apartments at its Cherry Sutton development in Widnes.
The firm has already delivered 19 new build homes for Salford landlord City West Housing Trust, including a 12-home scheme at Dixon Street in Irlam.
Steve Parrington, managing director at ForWorks, said: “We’re delighted to continue with our impressive growth in 2017 and to be delivering new homes for Clarion Housing Group.
“If we are serious about solving the housing crisis in this country then we need more developers who are willing to step in and take a risk on bring forward these smaller housing schemes that are crucial to supporting and sustaining local communities.
“That is exactly the role that ForWorks is looking to fulfil and we are currently in talks about unlocking a number of other sites across the region.”
