WORDS THAT MAKE FINANCIAL SENSE
Airlines will learn of a revolutionary new way to earn and save money at this year’s Aviation Festival taking place at London’s Business Design Centre on Thursday 7 September at 13:30. The opportunity for airlines to decrease damage payouts and earn €4 every 20 seconds will form the basis of a presentation on targeted baggage insurance by Linda Reyes, CEO of International Baggage Insurance (IBI). The big question is: “Can your airline afford not to?” when it comes to generating additional income from one of the most important aspects of travel. Simply by offering IBI insurance to passengers on their websites airlines can earn and save with the same click of a pax booking. Linda Reyes is convinced this is an opportunity airlines cannot afford to pass up. “We have been working with an increasing number of airlines offering tailored insurance policies covering electronic items, sporting goods, bicycles and wheelchairs. Airlines can decrease what they pay out and earn at the same time using our insurance. When you realise an average of 24 million bags are lost each year in air travel, the payout for damaged and lost bags is costing airlines more than €14.5bn. It makes no sense not to offer an insurance that works for both carriers and passengers.” The London Aviation Festival has become one of the leading technology and travel business shows attracting airlines and partners from all over the world. Linda Reyes will be addressing an audience of airline personnel and business visitors and will be on hand during the show to offer advice and opportunities for airlines looking to increase their revenues.
