Rackspace now offers new cybersecurity designed to protect your personal data
Rackspace announced today (August 15) its launch of Privacy and Data Protection (PDP), a new cybersecurity offering designed to identify and protect a customer’s sensitive data.
This new launch will aim to safeguard such information while meeting strict compliance requirements around securing data at rest - or data stored in persistent storage.
This new PDP offering represents part of a security operation approach that businesses need to help ensure their organisation is protected.
Christy Schumann, general manager of Rackspace Managed Security, commented: “Cyber attacks are becoming more sophisticated and breaches involving unauthorised access to customer data are more common…
“But many businesses lack the in-house resources and expertise to deal with these threats. The PDP offering is an ideal fit, as it allows Rackspace experts to ensure data is protected, while helping businesses meet increasingly strict compliance requirements for securing data in different regions.”
According to a recent Forrester Research report, an alarming 49 per cent of global network security decision-makers report that they experienced at least one breach during the past 12 months.
However the new launch provides businesses with a fully managed data protection service, including data access policies and encryption and activity reporting.
Rackspace has been protecting customers for over 15 years, and has provided consumers with a range of security and compliance benefits. As part of the PDP solution, Rackspace will continue to collaborate with industry leading technology partners to ensure the highest quality services.
