Win a skating workshop with Disney On Ice!
Disney On Ice is offering keen young skaters the chance to enjoy a skating workshop with the stars of the show when Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure comes to the Metro Radio Arena this October.
The Disney On Ice team would love to hear from budding young skaters from age 5 upwards, who could win the chance to spend an hour in training with professional skating stars from the show. 10 lucky winners will be chosen at random to attend a skating workshop on the morning of Wednesday 4th October.
Ailsa Oliver, general manager of Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena, said:
“This is the second year we have offered up and coming skaters the opportunity to have a workshop with professional Disney On Ice cast members; last year’s competition was particularly strong, with over 50 young people applying to take part in this amazing opportunity. The cast were absolutely amazed at the standard of the participants, who totally immersed themselves in the training. The winners will even have the opportunity to learn choreography actually used in the show, which they will also have the chance to see as part of their prize: a family ticket to see Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure at the evening performance on Wednesday 4th October.”
Steven Armstrong, Europe North Vice President for Feld Entertainment, producers of Disney On Ice, added:
“Last year we were astonished by the quality of skating shown by our young competitors, and we’re delighted to be able to offer 10 new passionate young skaters a chance to skate with our stars. It’s rewarding to be able to encourage young skating talent and who knows, we may well be working with future Disney On Ice stars! We’re also delighted to invite the young skaters and their families to be our guests for Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure which features a host of Disney favourites, including The Lion King, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid and Frozen. Families will also be treated to a fun warm up with the Fit to Dance pre-show featuring Zootropolis.”
To enter the competition to win a skating workshop with the stars of Disney On Ice, go to the Metro Radio Arena website, upload a video of your skating skills, and introduce your video by stating your name, and why you’d like to win.
This competition will close at 9 am on Tuesday 5th September. 10 lucky skaters will be invited to participate in an hour long training session on Wednesday 4th October at 11 am, as well as receiving a family ticket to see Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure, for the 6.30 pm show on Wednesday 4th October.
