A Passport to Kindess

Disney On Ice and Kids 1st launch Passport to Kindness

Pre-school children in the North East are embracing the joy of kindness, in a caring challenge inspired by Disney On Ice.

Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure arrives at the Metro Radio Arena in October, featuring a host of Disney favourites, including the Lion King, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid and Frozen. Families will also be treated to a fun warm up with the Fit to Dance pre-show featuring Zootropolis!

During the month of August, 800 pre-school children attending Kids 1st nurseries have been given their own ‘Passport to Kindness’, where children will receive a ‘kindness’ stamp every time they are involved in a caring gesture.

Children from Kids 1st Quorum celebrated the Passport to Kindness initiative by holding a fun Disney On Ice morning, where children enjoyed Disney story reading, colouring, and bubble blowing fun before ending the session with a sing-a-long from Toy Story – ‘You’ve Got a Friend in me!’

Kelly Walsh, Senior Area Manager at Kids 1st, said:

“Here at Kids 1st we’re recognised as providing the highest quality childcare in the UK, and we are delighted to be involved with this fun yet caring initiative that underlines one of our key values, to be kind. Our pre-school children were very excited to receive their passports, and have already been making lists of kind deeds, which have so far included sharing toys, helping a friend, making somebody smile and giving a warm hug! Every child who completes their passport will go into a lucky draw at each of our thirteen Kids 1st nurseries for the chance to win a family ticket to the opening night, which is very exciting indeed.”

Steven Armstrong, Europe North Vice President for Feld Entertainment, producers of Disney On Ice, added:

“Last year we joined forces with Kids 1st to provide Friendship Stations to highlight the value of love and friendship between young friends. It’s a delight to be involved with this new initiative that emphasises the importance of being kind, which is reflected in so many well loved Disney tales. I’m sure the pre-schoolers are keen to complete their own passports, and we look forward to welcoming our young fans when Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure arrives in the North East this October.”
