57 jobs created as new M&S Foodhall set to open in Barnsley
A brand new M&S Foodhall is set to open at Cortonwood Retail Park in Barnsley, creating 57 new jobs.
Store Manager, Paul Nicoll, along with the Mayor of Rotherham, will be on hand to officially open the new retail store on Wednesday 30th August.
The 9,000 sq ft store will offer a range of M&S’ food and drink products, including the Spirit of Summer range, featuring slow cooked meats, spicy dressings, moreish salads and cooking kits.
In addition, the new store will feature an M&S Café, offering an array of hot and cold drinks, freshly made cakes, snacks and light meals.
Paul Nicoll has been with M&S for 30 years and will be taking on the role of the new store manager.
Paul commented: “The new store launch has been widely anticipated in the local community in Barnsley, and we’re looking forward to bringing the best of M&S food and drink to Cortonwood Retail Park.
“We will be working hard over the next few months to make sure we offer fantastic service, putting our customers at the heart of everything we do and making this store a part of the local community in Barnsley. We can’t wait to welcome our first customers through our doors on Wednesday 30th August.”
Customers will be able to take advantage of the Click & Collect service, which gives them the option to have their M&S.com orders delivered to the store the next day free of charge.
The addition of the M&S Cortonwood Barnsley Foodhall will accompany existing stores in Barnsley and Rotherham Parkgate.
