Jobs lost as Shipley construction firm ceases trading
Weiser Construction, the Shipley-based construction firm, has ceased trading after appointing administrators.
The company had an independent audit undertaken which highlighted account discrepancies.
As a result, a winding up order was issued against Weiser Construction. With immediate effect, this was picked up by credit agencies and disabled Weiser Construction’s ability to attain credit or trade.
In a statement, the company also said that HSBC (Business Account provider for Weiser Construction) has frozen the company’s bank account.
On 31st of July, Weiser Construction received advice from DC Business Recovery to apply for Voluntary Administration, and this process began on Monday 31st of July 2017.
All of the company’s staff have as part of the voluntary administration process been made redundant.
