New Meetings Space Unveiled at Historic Chop House in Manchester

145 years after first opening its doors, a new chapter is beginning at Sam’s Chop House in the centre of Manchester, reviving the traditional interior, and restoring the hearty menu back to its glory days.

The independent owners of Manchester’s 3 Victorian Chop Houses have invested in revitalising one of Manchester’s oldest pubs and for the first time since 1872 Sam’s is officially opening its doors for Meetings and Events.

It is truly a unique historical venue right in the heart of the city and its extensive offerings include award winning food, ideal location and a capacity for up to either 300 guests or for 150 seated diners. It is also the only pub in the world to have a life-sized bronze statue of Artist LS Lowry, who was a regular at Sam’s.

The historical location offers a bespoke service throughout the planning process with a dedicated Meetings & Events manager, Lawrence Hallows. Lawrence who has been with the company for five years. Lawrence works exclusively for the three famous sites and has delivered 100s of events with many returning.

Lawrence says, “At Sam’s we do things differently and our offer reflects this. We have an array of ideas to transform meetings and events, including, Pub takeovers, the Great British lock in, Weddings with a difference, Great British breakfast events and even tailored pub quizzes”

A new General Manager will oversee all aspects of delivering the events along with a dedicated team who are eager to deliver great service. The head of food development is also keen to make the menu stand out at Sam’s which includes award winning food and new sharing menu as well as Manchester’s largest cheese board.

Sam’s Chop House’s rich history adds a unique touch to meetings and events with LS Lowry sitting at the bar being as popular as ever with guests experience one of only 50 ‘talking statues’ in the UK.

Sam’s has served as the meeting point for a number of historic organisations over the last century and is regarded as an institution within the city of Manchester; “Sam’s is as much a part of the city as rain,” according to the City Life Food & Drink Guide.

Sam’s includes all the must have amenities such as Wi-Fi, large projection screens, licensing, breakout and syndicate areas, stage and DJ area.
