Bradford City gets into gear with First West Yorkshire partnership
First West Yorkshire has partnered with Bradford City FC to become its preferred travel partner for home matches.
A recent poll by Bradford City FC has found that 69% of fans will travel to home matches by car, with only 10% opting for the bus.
In a bid to encourage more supporters to use local bus services, Bradford City FC has partnered with First West Yorkshire.
First West Yorkshire operates several services to Manningham Lane, which means that it’s just a short walk to the stadium turnstyles.
John Godfrey, marketing manager at First West Yorkshire, said: “Our frequent and great value buses can take you to and from the football stadium, without the fuss of having to find a parking space.
“Our network stretches all across Bradford with easy connections; so wherever you’re travelling from they’ll be a bus for you.
“We also have a wide range of tickets available to suit the needs of different customers, including the Weekend 5 travel for £5 ticket, which is great value if you’re travelling with friends or family.”
Michael Shackleton, commercial manager at Bradford City, added: “We’re proud to welcome First West Yorkshire on board as our preferred travel partner.
“First West Yorkshire is a familiar name within the Bradford region and we’re hopeful that this partnership will bear fruit with City supporters actively using the local bus network to get to and from games.”
