Fashion giant H&M is launching a brand new store in Barnet this Autumn

The Swedish fashion brand H&M is opening a brand new store in Barnet, London.

Located in The Spires shopping centre and covering a floor space of 2,000 square metres, the store will open its doors to customers at 11am on September 22, 2017.

On the morning of the launch before 11am, queuing customers will receive a 25 per cent discount wristband to redeem in store as well as a goodie bag.

H&M’s country manager for UK and Ireland, Carlos Duarte, commented: “We are delighted to be opening a brand new store… This is an exciting opportunity for the H&M brand to expand its portfolio and introduce [its] fashion to new customers.”

The new store offers consumers H&M’s Ladies, Divided, Mens and Kids sections all made in a sustainable manner. Customers will be able to browse the fashion collections while listening to music from an in-store DJ on the opening day.

Although the company was founded in 1947 in Sweden, H&M launched its first UK store in 1976. That number has now risen to an excess of 260 stores across the country.

Sustainability is at the heart of the fashion business, which offers a worldwide garment collecting service that started in 2013.

This scheme gives customers the chance to donate unwanted clothes and textiles whilst shopping in-store. These items are then recycled, with zero per cent going to landfill.
