Stage One investment and expansion plans take centre stage at North Yorkshire business park
Stage One Creative Services, the creative construction company, has announced investment and expansion plans at its existing base at Marston Moor Business Park in North Yorkshire.
Stage One has taken an additional 15,000 sq. ft and signed a new 15-year lease on all four buildings, which in total provides over 100,000 sq. ft of industrial, manufacturing and office accommodation.
Stage One employs over 160 people in Tockwith, and has been involved in projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Ceremonies, The UK Pavilion at the Milan Expo and more recently has built the sets for prime time TV programmes such as The Voice and Pitch Battle.
Mark Johnson, CEO at Stage One, commented: “The decision to secure and expand our premises is a significant move for our business.
“Our continued investment in new technology and our developing employee base demands premises that make us operationally robust as the business moves into its next phase of growth.”
Marston Moor Business Park is owned by Regional REIT and managed by London & Scottish Property.
Marston Moor Business Park forms part of the World War II airbase formerly known as RAF Marston Moor, which trained aircrew on the Halifax Bomber between 1942 and 1945 and is located at Tockwith, near Wetherby in North Yorkshire.
Paul Mack, director of Leeds-based property specialist Gent Visick, brokered the transaction.
Paul said: “We are delighted that Stage One have committed to Marston Moor on a long term basis. To secure such a high profile company is fantastic news not only for the estate but also for the region.
“This transaction gives Stage One the security and platform to enable them to invest in their premises, infrastructure and staff to facilitate growth of the company.”
Gent Visick and Glasgow-based solicitors Burness Paull Williamson represented London & Scottish Investments, whilst Simon Mydlowski of Leeds-based solicitors Gordons represented Stage One Creative Services.
