New M&S Foodhall officially opens for business in Barnsley
A brand new M&S Foodhall has officially opened in Cortonwood Retail Park in Barnsley.
As a result of the opening of the new store, 57 jobs were created in the local area.
M&S Store Manager, Paul Nicoll and the Mayor of Rotherham, were on hand to welcome customers into the 9,000 sq ft store for the first time.
In addition to an extensive collection of food and drink products, the store also features an M&S Café, offering hot and cold drinks, freshly made cakes, snacks and light meals.
Paul Nicoll has been with M&S for 30 years and has taken on the role of the new store manager.
He said: “Today’s opening has been a great success and we are delighted to welcome our new shoppers into the store for the first time.
“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and their positive comments today have made all the hard work preparing for opening day worthwhile.”
Customers can also use the Click & Collect service which gives them the option to have their M&S.com orders delivered to the store the next day free of charge.
M&S Cortonwood Barnsley Foodhall in Barnsley is open Monday-Saturday 8am-8pm and Sunday 10.30am-4.30pm.
