“Frying High!” Scotts Win International Excellence Rating
A North Yorkshire chippie is “frying high” after both its venues have been enrolled into an international tourism review website’s “Hall of Fame”.
Thanks to rave reviews from customers, Scotts of Helmsley and Scotts Fish and Chips in York, have been awarded the TripAdvisor International Excellency Award for the fifth year running.
TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence is awarded to those hospitality business which consistently receive top reviews of either four or five stars from their clients, in addition to being listed on the website for a minimum of 12 months.
As a result of their continued excellence, both sites have now been welcomed into the TripAdvisor “Hall of Fame”.
Scotts of Helmsley – the original location – has now received the prestigious accolade consecutively since 2012.
This - in addition to last year maintaining the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) Quality Award scheme - results in Scotts being ranked as one of the top chippies in the country.
With the combined number of “excellent” reviews for both locations reaching 861, both sites comfortably entered the “Hall of Fame” – an exclusive achievement for those business which achieve five consistent years of excellence.
Both locations have also joined a small but growing number of fish and chip shops who have gained “Gluten Free” accreditation from Coeliac UK for their commitment to providing gluten-free food.
In addition, the chippies are part of an elite group of 80 fish and chip shops which are MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certified - highlighting their commitment to sustainability.
