Hilton opens 150-guestroom hotel overlooking Emirates Old Trafford
Leisure operator Hilton has opened a 150-guestroom hotel at Emirates Old Trafford.
The venue, overlooking the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club, is the first of the Hilton Garden Inn brand to launch in Manchester.
Of the 150 bedrooms, 85 offer views of the cricket field. Hilton confirmed plans to convert some of the rooms featuring balconies into hospitality boxes on match days.
Hilton Garden Inn Manchester Emirates Old Trafford also has space for events of between 10 and 2,000 people, from small meetings to large exhibitions.
Simon Vincent, Hilton’s executive vice president and president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, said: “Hilton is expanding its portfolio in locations across the UK, and now welcomes guests at some of the country’s leading sports stadiums, including The Stadium of Light, Ageas Bowl, Wembley and now Emirates Old Trafford.

In addition to catering for cricket fans and others visiting Emirates Old Trafford, the new site will target business guests with its proximity to the Old Trafford Metrolink and Manchester city centre
