MAC Construction Consultants launches sixth office in Sheffield

MAC Construction Consultants has announced the opening of a new office in Sheffield at Suite 24, Cooper Buildings, Arundel Street.

This is the sixth office for the construction consultancy, which also has other offices in Leeds, Manchester, Milton Keynes, London and Bristol.

The office will assist with any property related issues through the company’s project management, cost consultancy, project services, health & safety consultant and building consultancy teams, providing a wide variety of professional services.

The move also brings a return of two ex-Lambert Smith Hampton surveyors to the city. Director Barry Smith now heads up both the MAC Sheffield Office and the MAC Project Services Division nationally, and senior surveyor Joe Beckett is also operating out of the new office.

Both Surveyors moved over to MAC to set up the building consultancy team in August 2016, which has now doubled in size within 12 months.

The duo bring over 30 years of experience with them working on a wide range of projects. Barry was the project manager for the £8m refurbishment of Milton House for Westfield Health’s new headquarters building in Sheffield and is currently involved in the £5m Royal Riverside 129 bed apartment new build scheme on Priestley Street.

Joe is currently acting as a project manager to the Government’s Education Skills & Funding Agency and also providing professional services to SIG plc (Sheffield Insulation Group).
