Fairway Foodservice launches dried fruit and nut range
Leading buying group Fairway Foodservice has introduced a range of dried fruit and nut products to bolster its own-brand offering.
The new products include sultanas, raisins, mixed fruit, walnut halves, ground almonds, and flaked almonds.
The versatile range, which went through an extensive benchmarking exercise to ensure the best quality products were sourced, represents the highest used items from the wide range of fruit and nut products taken by caterers.
As well as being a constant ‘store cupboard’ essential, items from the range are being used increasingly as healthy snacking alternatives and breakfast bar accompaniments.
Ambient purchasing manager of the 19-member buying group Troy McKee said: “By introducing these lines under our own brand, we safeguard ongoing quality levels and have been able to harness our members’ volumes to ensure these key lines remain as competitive as possible at a time when market prices are persistently unstable.
“Fairway listens to, and acts upon, feedback from our members, and the success of these lines will lead us to add more quality fruit and nut products to the range.”
The additions increase the Fairway own-brand range to more than 590 products.
The new dried fruit and nut range in full is:
· Sultanas 4x3kg · Raisins 4x3kg · Mixed fruit 4x3kg · Walnut halves 6x1kg · Ground almonds 6x1kg · Flaked almonds 6x1kg
