Make It Cheaper teams with Just Eat to save restaurants money on their energy bills
Make It Cheaper has announced a new partnership with takeaway giant, Just Eat, which will bring cheaper energy to its many restaurant partners.
Just Eat is one of the most popular online takeaway services; its roots date back to 2001 and now operates in 13 countries, connecting 19m customers to more than 74,000 restaurants. It was established in Britain in 2006, and over 26,000 restaurants have joined the company.
Sam Reynolds, marketing director at Make It Cheaper, said: “Just Eat has a very engaged base of thousands of restaurant partners, many of whom use a great deal of gas and electricity - and are very likely paying over the odds for it.
“We’re delighted to be partnering with Just Eat, to bring cheaper energy to those restaurants. Our values are very much aligned, especially when it comes to promoting green energy through our offering…
“We look forward to saving millions of pounds for the UK’s restaurants and takeaways together.”
Make It Cheaper is one of the biggest business energy intermediaries in the UK, which has helped more than 45,000 of the country’s SMEs and small companies save on their gas and electricity since 2007.
The director of restaurant services at Just Eat, Robin Clark, commented: “We’re hugely excited to be working with Make It Cheaper!
“As well as saving restaurants and small businesses hundreds of pounds on energy bills, our collaboration with [the company] will also provide our partners with access to an exclusive green energy offering, via Squeaky Energy.
“We know we can do a huge amount more together to help small businesses and are excited about what’s to come.”
