North West advisors to help SMEs with new turnaround practice
Two business advisors in the North West have teamed up to establish a new corporate restructuring and turnaround practice.
The company, trading as Dunham Dean, was set up by Matt Dunham and John Dean, who between them have more than 50 years’ experience in turnaround and finance.
With offices in Liverpool’s Brunswick Dock and Appley Bridge near Wigan, the firm will provide assistance with cashflow problems and other challenges facing owner-managed businesses.
Matt Dunham, an insolvency and restructuring professional, has worked with organisations ranging from large corporates to non-profits.
His career has seen him handling a number of high-profile administrations, including those of Bury and Barnsley Football Clubs. More recently, he helped save national charity The British Association for Adoption and Fostering.
John Dean’s background includes 25 years spent with professional services giants Ernst & Young and KPMG.
Insolvency cases he worked on included those of wallpaper manufacturer Coloroll and Liverpool hairdressing business Alan Paul.
John said: “Even well-managed businesses can face unforeseen challenges such as bad debts, a family dispute or changes in the market which put their future at risk.”
Matt commented: “John and I have helped many businesses to overcome pitfalls in the past.
“With our experience and unrivalled support network, we can provide expert help when people need it most - from addressing the immediate problem to restructuring the business and bringing in new sources of funding to support it going forward.”
