Stoneferry Park Industrial Estate in Hull fully occupied following completion of new deals
Stoneferry Park Industrial Estate in Hull is now at 100% occupancy following two transactions secured in recent weeks.
PPH Commercial has leased units to electrical trade wholesalers Rexel and steel galvanizers Premier Galvanizing.
Rexel and Premier Galvanizing are existing tenants on the site and are both expanding by taking on additional adjoining units.
Rexel has agreed a lease on a 7,500 sq ft unit and Premier Galvanizing has taken a 15,000 sq ft unit to add to its existing 20,000 sq ft space.
Premier Galvanizing is expanding because it has outgrown its existing premises at Stoneferry Park.
Alex Camp, general manager of Premier Galvanizing, said: “The new premises will provide a much needed large storage area for product awaiting processing and it will mean that we can reduce waiting times for companies delivering their product to us. Our plan over the next three years is to increase volumes by a further 15% to 20%.
“During the lease negotiations PPH Commercial were very helpful, particularly by showing us a level of trust that enabled us to have easy access to the building so that we could get suppliers in to quote for fitting out work.”
Ben Medhurst, director of PPH Commercial, added: “We have seen a substantial increase in letting activity in Hull during recent months and our success at Stoneferry Park Industrial Estate is a further indication of this trend.
“There is particular demand from medium size businesses who are looking for premises from 7,500 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft.”
“This increase is due to a number of factors. Some businesses are taking on additional buildings because they are busier and more confident about the future and there is also a shortage of space for medium sized industrial companies in the Hull market place.”
