Designing for the future with Interact London 2017

Digital and user experience conference, Interact London will be returning for its fourth year on October 18 for a one-day conference which is exploring the theme ‘designing the future’.

As one of the UK’s leading UX and digital events, Interact 2017 will feature cutting edge speakers including Ruby Steel, Senior Design Strategist at Smart Design; Vuokko Aro, Product Designer at Monzo Bank and Phu Ly, Product Design Lead at Deliveroo among others who will all be sharing their expert opinions and individual experiences.

The conference was initially launched in 2013 by strategic UX design agency, Nomensa, to help provide insight, further UX understanding and consequently create professional, collaborative relationships among attendees operating within the digital community.

Speaking of the event, Catherine Vaughan, Head of Marketing for Nomensa said: “It’s fantastic to be able to host Interact for a fourth consecutive year. So far, the event has been an enormous success and we foresee that this edition will be received in the same positive manner by both delegates and speakers. As always, we have a very talented line-up of speakers who will be sharing their professional knowledge and opinions to challenge conventional thinking.”

This will also be the first year that the event will be hosting an exclusive networking after-party at the Sky Bar, Holborn. Sponsored by TDA Creative, the party will offer fabulous food, delicious cocktails and conversations between digital thinkers.

Catherine continued: “We decided to introduce a party-style networking event for the evening following the event, treating our attendees to a quality social experience which will nourish their minds and fill their bellies simultaneously. In our industry, it’s important to nurture creative relationships and build collaborative connections.”

Interact 2017 will welcome over 200 delegates and will encourage them to network, share and expand their digital knowledge.

Ruby Steel, Senior Design Strategist at Smart Design, said: “I’m really excited to be speaking at Interact London. This will be the first time I have spoken about my Design Collective with Mycarematters as well as some of the work Smart Design has done with the inspiring SimPrints.

“Interact is a great platform to meet like-minded people and I’m keen to learn from other people’s experiences, particularly with regards to volunteering design services and how we might do more as an industry.”
