Newcastle-based mybuilder.com launches TV campaign

Newcastle based, MyBuilder.com, the highly successful website launched in 2008 that helps UK homeowners find top quality, vetted tradespeople at a click of a button, unveils details of a brand new, high impact, national TV campaign, launching in September and featuring the popular TV property expert Amanda Lamb.

The new multi-million pound autumn campaign will air from September. It will be supported with digital, outdoor, press, DM, consumer and trade PR.

Ryan Notz, CEO and Founder of MyBuilder.com comments “Amanda Lamb is not only highly trustworthy and credible in the property sector, but also appeals to the 40 ‘something’ age of the average MyBuilder.com user. She is incredibly experienced with the issues homeowner’s face when considering home improvements, especially choosing the best tradespeople. And, as a familiar onscreen face, we believe will drive brand awareness and boost site use further.”

The new, slick commercial will feature Amanda Lamb highlighting the simplicity of the MyBuilder.com proposition and process. In addition, the ad uses genuine customers to showcase real life scenarios.

The creative agency behind the campaign is The Clinton Partnership. It’s CEO, Simon Clinton adds, “Finding the right face for the brand was a critical consideration following substantial consumer research across the UK and we’re confident the new campaign will help grow MyBuilder.com`s profile and revenue substantially.”

The commercial was directed by Richard Oliver, working with the production companies Rock Hound and Smoke & Mirrors. The creative team consisted of Richard Irving and Graham Doran. The media planning and buying agency is London based ‘the 7Stars’.

Following the recent acquisition of MyBuilder.com by the world’s largest owner of online companies, American giant, IAC, MyBuilder.com has launched this high impact campaign to establish continued rapid growth for the brand. IAC also owns brands such as Trip Advisor, Trivago, Match.com and Tinder.

MyBuilder.com has become a major UK player in the home improvement market, having secured 2.4 million jobs to date. With almost 45,000 tradespeople using the site, it consistently receives over 75,000 posted jobs every month. The website is unique in the UK as regards the tight processes and quality checks it undertakes in ensuring successful matches between homeowners and local tradespeople. A unique vetting process that has helped secure significant growth in recent years.
