A premium menswear store has just hit Manchester's Royal Exchange

Lanigan and Hulme, a new premium men’s clothing, footwear and accessories shop has opened in the Arcade at the Royal Exchange Manchester.

The shop, owned by partners Phil Lanigan and Neil Hulme, aims to introduce and re-introduce great classic brands to Manchester’s city centre, currently offering established names such as Hackett, Crombie, Sunspel, John Smedley and Harris Tweed.

Manchester-based Phil and Neil both share a passion for providing British and Irish brands and product, and have placed an emphasis on creating a one-stop shopping experience for the customer who appreciates quality and style.

As well as offering personal shopping, Lanigan and Hulme have teamed up with a Manchester brewery to offer customers craft beers as well as a choice of prosecco or coffee as they browse in store.

In addition to established brands the duo are keen to introduce new brands to the city which so far include Arkin - makers of quality homemade leather accessories who originate from Bristol - as well as VICI watches, a popular newcomer at London Fashion Week.

The only non-British brand they currently stock is RM Williams, however having worked for the Australian brand, Phil Lanigan is sure their workmanship and quality boots will complement the Lanigan and Hulme brands.

Lanigan and Hulme is the latest addition to the Royal Exchange Manchester, which has been undergoing a number of changes since it was acquired by Hines.

The international real estate firm acquired the building in November 2016 on behalf of Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK), Germany’s biggest pension scheme group.

The firm also recently announced a new 10-year deal to bring French Connection back to the city centre, one of a number of deals which aim to deliver on strategy to diversify the tenant mix and reposition the Royal Exchange as a prestigious location in Manchester.
