Over 20 new jobs created as new retailers link up with Eldon Square
Two new brands are opening in Eldon Square, Newcastle, this Autumn creating over twenty new jobs in the city centre.
INGLOT Cosmetics and accessories brand Lovisa are both newcomers to the region, creating 12 and 10 jobs respectively.
Founded in Poland over 30 years ago,international cosmetics company INGLOT can now be found in over 80 countries with 720 boutique stores, stands, and retail locations around the world.
With over 300 stores in 13 countries, Lovisa is now on a strong growth phase across the UK. At Eldon Square, Lovisa will occupy a 900 sq ft unit sitting in between Claire’s Accessories and The Change Group while INGLOT will stand adjacent to jewellery store Swarovski.
INGLOT director Jane Swarbrigg said: “We are delighted to be expanding our UK offering into the north of England and intu Eldon Square’s dynamic city-centre location with sparkling nightlife and thriving student population makes it the perfect way to introduce our brand to the area.”
Peter Barker, Lovisa property director, commented: “We can’t wait to introduce shoppers at intu Eldon Square to our array of beautiful necklaces, statement earrings and chic bracelets - Lovisa really is a first stop shop for the fashion forward woman to get her on-trend accessories fix. We look forward to welcoming our new customers in late September/early October.”
Kate Grant, regional managing director at intu, said: “We’re supporting Lovisa and INGLOT’s ambitious UK expansion strategies with prime retail space at one of the country’s biggest and busiest city centre shopping destinations.
“This will give them the opportunity to attract shoppers from Newcastle and across the north east for the first time.”
