Growing flooring retailer opens 26th North East outlet

Frank’s the Flooring Store has launched a new retail outlet in Sunderland, creating five new jobs.

Opening a 14,000 sq.ft store, found on Ryhope Road, the site will complement the firm’s existing portfolio of branches within Tyne & Wear. Frank’s also has outlets in nearby Washington, as well as across the wider North East region.

The company stocks a range of flooring solutions, ranging from carpets and rugs through to luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), artificial grass and wood flooring. A number of its stores also offer a range of beds.

The Ryhope launch takes the number of Frank’s locations in the region to 26, with the company expected to launch further stores in the future.

Mick Copeland, Business Development Manager at Frank’s the Flooring Store, said: “This latest investment will extend our geographical reach in the North East and further strengthens the Frank’s brand on Tyne & Wear, with the addition of one of our larger stores.

“There is plenty of potential at the site, and we are looking forward to establishing a presence in Ryhope and offering customers a wide range of flooring solutions.

“The launch of the Ryhope store presents new employment opportunities at Frank’s, with scope for more jobs in the future on Wearside, as well as across our extensive branch network.

“As the company continues to grow, this will open up more expansions and store openings, solidifying our position as one of the leading retailers in the region.”
