A magical performance set to enchant pre-walking babies comes to Darlington
A unique and sensory experience, is set to engage the younger generation when it arrives in Darlington for the first time, next week.
Nest, a magical immersive performance, aimed at enchanting the senses of pre-walking babies, is hoping to attract parents and carers across the North East.
Unfolding in a custom-built tent, the performance will run from Thursday 12th October to Saturday 14th October, 2017, with four scheduled timings throughout the day.
This gentle and surprising experience, will take babies, parents and carers on a journey through the seasons, using playful poetry, sound, song, captivating movement and tactile and sensory play.
“We are so excited to have brought Nest into Darlington as part of the Theatre Town project. It will be a wonderful, immersive experience for babies and their carers,” says Laura Case, development director for Theatre Hullabaloo.
“We want children and families in Darlington to experience a variety of cultural activities, especially as we get ready to open our new home, The Hullabaloo in December. We’re delighted to open a venue, specifically created for children and families, and provide an inspiring place for them to play and learn”.
Nest has already achieved fantastic feedback from delighted parents and carers proclaiming their little one’s were ‘enchanted’ and excited the entire way through.
The performances of Nest, will be held at Quaker Meeting House on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th October, and The Head of Steam on Saturday 14th October.
With changing facilities taken care of at both venues, attendees don’t have to worry about the logistical elements of the performance, instead, they can concentrate on enjoying the 35-minute show that promises to captivate babies’ attention and wonder.
In association with Artsdepot, an award winning cultural hub, this is just one of many exciting events that is being brought to Town, as part of Darlington Theatre Town.
