Decision Tech boosts its portfolio with Mobilephonechecker.co.uk acquisition
Decision Tech, a performance marketing and data group, has acquired Mobilephonechecker.co.uk for an undisclosed sum in its latest move to strengthen its offering in the mobile phone comparison space.
Mobilephonechecker’s mobile comparison engine aims to help customers compare over 1.2m deals in seconds, helping them find their ideal handset.
Leveraging its robust cash generation, the deal has represented Decision Tech’s third acquisition in the mobile space in under 12 months and also demonstrates its commitment to the mobile vertical.
Decision Tech’s CEO, Michael Philips, commented: “We’re extremely excited about Decision Tech’s acquisition of Mobilephonechecker.co.uk. This has a very good product and digital footprint that will complement our existing technology and brands.
“Alongside the acquisition programme, innovation is key in the business growth strategy. Later this month, Decision Tech will be launching a SaaS product that will revolutionise how digital publishers optimise and increase their performance sales.
“This product will spearhead the new ventures division of the Decision Tech group, ahead of further data products and tools pivoted from tools built to service their own brands and technology partners.”
Integrating Mobilephonechecker will progress Decision Tech towards its ambition of innovating the mobile comparison sector using a technology led strategy that helped it become recognised as the UK’s largest Ofcom accredited broadband comparison company.
Decision Tech is seeking further acquisitions to bolsters its portfolio of products and brands as part of the group’s growth and diversification plans.
In December 2016, the acquisition of comparemymobile.com made Decision Tech the UK’s most-used price comparison service for phone and gadget recycling and sales.
Phillips concluded: “2017 has already been a great year for Decision Tech and there’s more to come yet. This acquisition, coupled with our impending entrance into the affiliate reporting space, a market already worth over a billion pounds a year, signals more great times ahead.”
