Sheffield engineering company transforms historic ironworks site
Inspec Solutions Ltd, the control and automation systems company, has developed new premises at a historic former ironworks site in Sheffield with financing from NatWest.
The business specialises in systems integration and safety control for blue-chip companies across a range of industries including metals, manufacturing, oil, gas, petrochemical and renewable energy.
Employing 26 engineering staff, Inspec designs, supplies, installs and commissions bespoke control & safety systems, providing ongoing maintenance and support once installation is complete.
In addition to new offices, the premises will also provide a panel assembly and test department.
Mark Ritson, managing director of Inspec Solutions Ltd, said: “These new premises not only provide us with the higher capacity to, increase both our turnover and our staff numbers, but also, the opportunity to train up young talent and act as a gateway to the industry through our apprenticeship programme”.
“The premises are built on the site of the historic Park Ironworks on which Sheffield engineering giants Davy Brothers grew to international prominence following their move to the site in the 1850’s.
“Amongst other industries, Inspec are a leading control systems company for the modern steel making and forging industries making the Ironworks the perfect place to provide a link between the area’s heritage and traditions and its current growing status as a home to cutting-edge industry.”
