Fang-tastic free Halloween family fun at intu
Halloween is creeping up and eerie things are about to happen at intu Eldon Square and intu Metrocentre this half term.
Both shopping centres are hosting an array of mystical, free-ky activities guaranteed to please mini monsters and scare away the holiday boredom.
At intu Eldon Square on 25 October children can join the fangtastic school of vampires and learn the tricks of the trade with Count Dracula himself. They’ll have the chance to craft their very own cape and enjoy free face-painting to complete their transformation into a scary vampire.
The frightening good fun continues on 26 October as little ones can grab a costume and a broomstick and pose for a bewitching photo at an interactive scream screen. There’ll also be a host of fun Halloween games including donut bobbing and a monster shuffle sack race.
Wannabe witches can enter intu Eldon Square’s transformation station on 27 October for free spooky Halloween hair styling and face painting. They can then showcase their wicked monster moves in an electric boo galoo silent disco.
Over at intu Metrocentre, from 23 – 29 October, young witches and warlocks can get creative with a range of creepy crafts including the chance to design their own trick or treat bags and create a funky Frankenstein’s monster.
intu Metrocentre’s smallest shoppers can also enjoy free colouring in, make some horrifyingly good Halloween masks and, on 28 & 29 October, take part in some spooky cookie decorating.
If Halloween costume inspiration has yet to strike – intu Metrocentre has two Halloween HQ pop up stores in the upper green mall and lower blue mall with a host of otherworldly outfits guaranteed to please.
After last year’s ghoulishly good fun the Big Trick or Treat is back, hosted by intu Eldon Square on Saturday 28 October and by intu Metrocentre on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 October in partnership with retailers and restaurants from both centres.
Children taking part in the Big Trick or Treat are invited to wear their most spooktacular Halloween costume, collect a free pumpkin bucket then go trick or treating around the shopping centres.
Participating retailers will display a pumpkin or a pumpkin sticker in their windows - little ones can then trick or treat at the till point to claim sweet treats and devilish delights!
