£500k depot investment to create 30 new jobs at Newcastle traffic management firm
Newcastle-headquartered Hatton Traffic Management is investing over half a million pounds to open two new depots, a move anticipated to create 30 full time jobs.
The announcement follows the traffic management company’s recent success as a bidder on Cumbria County Council’s Traffic Management Framework, a deal worth £1m - £1.5m for the business over four years.
Operating nationally across the UK from five regional depots, the business offers a full range of traffic management services including street works, high speed motorway closures and large-scale event traffic management.
The opening of the two new depots – the first in Warrington near Manchester and the second in Wigton, Cumbria - are the company’s first in the North West.
Tom Bailey, Managing Director of Hatton Traffic Management, said “As a family-owned and family-run business, we pride ourselves on delivering a professional, reliable and cost-effective service for our clients – and it was this dedication to quality and cost-effectiveness that helped to secure our success with the Cumbria County Council Framework.
“On the back of the win we are keen to continue to increase our presence in Cumbria and across the North West where we have already completed a number of large scale projects.
“The opening of our new Wigton and Warrington depots is a significant milestone towards achieving this and will help to further increase our capacity in the region, as well as generate local employment opportunities.”
