New Manchester base and team members for creative agency Tunafish Media
Creative agency Tunafish Media has trebled the size of its Manchester operation and taken on new staff.
The company created four jobs upon relocating to a 2,150 sq ft office at the Grade-II listed Canada House, a former cotton packing warehouse on Chepstow Street.
Tunafish hired Matt Cooper for the role of marketing executive, Harriet Tuite as marketing assistant, Jack Gregson as content creator and Cain Jennings as videographer.
Ric Brooks, the firm’s operations director, oversaw the move and fit-out of the Canada House HQ alongside marketing manager Hannah Matthewman.
The new offices, located on the second floor, are over three times larger than Tunafish’s former base on Portland Street.
Ric, who co-founded Tunafish in 2011 with MD Sam Jones and creative director James McDonald, said of the expansion: “Following recent client wins and our move to new premises, we are delighted to strengthen our content creation and marketing teams with four new members of staff.
“We are still looking to recruit further during this exciting time for the business.”
He continued: “Canada House is a great city centre location and provides an excellent opportunity to be involved with a new development in Manchester.
“We’ve focused on creating a modern and fun working space for our growing team.”
Canada House is owned by investment group LJ Partnership, which is spending £3m to refurbish the building.
LJ Partnership director Sam Lawson Johnston commented: “We’re thrilled to welcome Tunafish to Canada House. It’s great to see such a forward-thinking, fast-growing and energetic business choosing the building for its headquarters.
“Tunafish Media’s approach to business and well-designed fit-out are a good match with our vision for the building.”
Sam continued: “We look forward to announcing more lettings in the near future. With workspaces ranging from a single desk to large suites, Canada House provides the flexibility for businesses to continue to grow.”
Tunafish’s offices were created by Atul Bansal of design firm Sheila Bird Group. Interiors business Workspace Design & Build delivered the fit-out in a project managed by OBI Property.
