Far East Consortium assembles new executive team in Manchester

Property firm Far East Consortium (FEC) has assembled the senior management team responsible for delivering its £200m MeadowSide residential scheme in Manchester.

The London-headquartered developer established a new 4,000 sq ft office at the Northern Assurance Buildings, a Grade II-listed property overlooking Albert Square, for its new executives.

Led by FEC regional general manager Gavin Taylor, the six-strong team will steer the delivery of 756 apartments, penthouses and townhouses next to Angel Meadow, the open green space forming part of the 20-acre NOMA neighbourhood.

The six executives are also responsible for the Northern Gateway, FEC’s investment partnership with Manchester City Council that will create 10k homes across the northern side of the city centre over the next decade.

Working alongside Gavin are Tom Fenton, in the role of project director; Hilary Brett, as development manager; Tom Pool as development manager; ToonHuat Ang as commercial manager; and Harriet Kingsbury, who will support the team as office manager and PA to regional general manager Gavin.

Property agent JLL acted for the owner of the Northern Assurance Buildings, LJ Partnership, in the deal.

JLL is also the joint property agent on MeadowSide, alongside Cushman & Wakefield.
