Jet Aire becomes verified supplier for rail industry
Drainage contractor, Jet Aire, is targeting further growth in the transport infrastructure sector following its approval as a verified supplier in the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS).
The RISQS applies rigorous standards in its role as a supplier pre-qualification service which streamlines procurement and is used by buyers of all products and services throughout the UK’s rail industry. Industry-owned and sponsored by a board of representatives from across the sector, the scheme embraces rail’s qualification arrangements and supports Network Rail, Transport for London, passenger and freight operating companies, rolling stock organisations, main infrastructure contractors and many other buying organisations in the management of supply chain risk. Following an assessment carried out by Achilles, the appointed supply chain management provider for RISQS, Jet Aire is now a pre-qualified supplier for a range of professional services including waste disposal, drainage and various related external works.
Jet Aire managing director, Charlie Kirk, said:
“RISQS is an open, fair and transparent way for suppliers to be formally recognised as capable providers of products and services. It is the single entry point for suppliers to the rail industry and Jet Aire’s RISQS qualification is a key step in our strategy for expansion. The company has already established a strong presence in the highways industry and we are now looking to replicate that success with drainage services for rail infrastructure.”
Jet Aire has been servicing the UK for over thirty years with a range of professional solutions to commercial, industrial and domestic clients. The company holds a number of other key industry accreditations approved by many of the environmental and drainage service industry’s leading bodies and is qualified in both ISO9001 and ISO14001, internationally recognised standards for quality management.
