Care group strikes two-year deal with Sheffield United to 'positively change' match days for disabled supporters
Kingfield Care Group has teamed up with Sheffield United to provide a section of the ground accessible for fans with any form of a disability.
The Sheffield-based care group has agreed a two-year, five-figure deal with the aim to provide care services for both adults and the elderly, in some safe and contemporary surroundings.
Brett Simpson-Lyons, director of Kingfield Care Group, said: “We want to positively change the match day experience for disabled supporters.
“We will be working with United and some of the groups representing disabled supporters to provide a facility which we hope will be among the best in the UK.”
The Sheffield branch of Handelsbanken Sheffield St Paul’s has supported the group’s plans for the enclosure.
John Garrett, club supporter liaison officer for Sheffield United, commented: “This is a very exciting opportunity for Bramall Lane.
“We are thrilled to start a partnership with Sheffield’s Kingfield Care Group and are looking forward to developing the accessible facilities further with Kingfield.”
