Prestigious Casting Call Gives Would-Be Models The Chance To ‘Strut Their Stuff’ For Charity
A couture fashion designer, who has showed his collections at London, LA and New York Fashion Week, is looking to give would-be models the chance to walk in his December showcase in Nottingham.
As the 27-year-old prepares to launch his own charity, The Michael Wallace Foundation, the designer is looking for 20 female models and 10 male models to star in his show, with the chance to be the face of The House of Michael Wallace in future campaigns.
Michael has travelled the globe with his designs, having recently won a Nottingham Dragons’ Den style contest and has showcased his work at some of the biggest events on the fashion calendar. The casting will be held on November 2nd between 5pm-8pm at Pitcher and Piano in Nottingham.
Michael, from Ilkeston, said: “My Christmas showcase will be my biggest event to date and I am looking to cast around 30 models in total to appear in the show. I have built my brand, and studied in Nottingham, so I was keen to give others the same opportunity. Models who are successful will gain professional images from the event, modelling experience, a free goody bag and will also be able to meet vital industry contacts.”
Taking place on December 8, the catwalk show itself will be held at St. Mary’s Church in the city, and will mark the launch of the Michael Wallace Foundation, which will raise money to support charities, businesses and individuals throughout Nottinghamshire and the surrounding areas through a series of fundraising events.
Anyone can attend the casting on November 2nd, but the designer is seeking models over 5ft 7ins in height, with few or no visible tattoos. He is encouraging models of allethnicities to attend, and has hinted that he loves models with a unique and quirky style.
Michael continued: “I am not seeking models with a specific ‘look’ because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I would prefer to cast someone who has walked in a catwalk show before, even if this is on an amateur level.”
Models who choose to attend the casting, will be asked to walk for a panel of judges to include Michael and his assistant, along with representatives from Poppy-PR who are sponsoring the show. Models will also have a short informal chat with the panel and have some test photos taken.
To apply, simply attend the Pitcher and Piano casting in Nottingham on November 2nd between 5pm-8pm to be considered for the show.
