Rural Broadband Specialist Dyfed Superfast Hands PR Brief to Context

South Wales based rural internet connectivity specialist Dyfed Superfast has hired Macclesfield-based technology PR specialist Context to promote its pioneering high speed broadband service across the remoter parts of Wales.

Context will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive programme including media relations, email marketing and social media management to promote its services to communities outside the major conurbations of Wales that have suffered to date from poor broadband provision.

Gareth Robinson, from Dyfed Superfast said: “High speed broadband is an essential service to help businesses grow in rural areas of the country and vital to drive social inclusion as more government services and educational resources move online. It shouldn’t be reserved for metropolitan cities, which is why we’re accessing funding through the Welsh Assembly Government to create fixed and wireless networks that deliver internet speeds of over 30mbps. Context has the credentials in the telecoms industry to help convey our message and get more people connected to high-speed internet.”

Frank Smith, MD of Context said: “It is rewarding to work on a project that is bringing such obvious benefits to rural businesses and communities and we look forward a successful working relationship.”

Dyfed Superfast is the high speed rural broadband arm of IT solutions company Dyfed IT which provides information technology and systems support for businesses across south and mid wales from its base in Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire.
