Waterfront cocktail bar with Liverpool’s ‘biggest roof terrace’ opening next year
A new cocktail bar with a rooftop terrace overlooking Liverpool’s waterfront has been announced.
The as-yet-unnamed venue, located on the Strand above Tom Hall’s Tavern, will offer guests views of the city’s historic Pier Head when it opens next year.
The bar’s owners have researched venues in New York and London for inspiration since it went into planning earlier this year.
Set to occupy 2,000 sq ft on the third floor of the Bentley Building, the venue’s interiors will feature graffiti-covered walls and urban chic designs.
The rooftop terrace will have space for more than 100 people.
The cocktail bar is being created by C&G Holdings, the company behind Argentinian steakhouse Meet, sports bar Tom Hall’s Tavern and cabaret venue Bentley.
A spokesperson for C&G Holdings said: “The lower east side in NYC has been a big influence on the design and feel of the venue. We wanted to create a space that really comes into its own and provides truly unique surroundings for those looking for something a bit different from an evening out.
“Entering the bar via a lift entrance customers can sit and sip cocktails and look out at the fantastic views. With an extensive list of cocktails we are aiming to cater for that middle market which we feel is underserved in the city right now.”
They continued: “The crown in the jewel will be the city’s biggest roof terrace and we are already in talks now with promoters over some fantastic events.”
