A 'video shopping' service gets green light on Mayor of London's GoToGrow programme

A creator of real-time video shopping experiences for online consumers, GoInStore, has announced its acceptance onto Sadiq Khan’s GoToGrow programme.

The programme aims to help fast-growing companies in London internationalise and grow their businesses in Europe, North America and beyond.

GoInStore technology provides customers with a live-stream video to help address the vast disparity in customer experience and conversion rates between physical and digital channels.

André Hordagoda, co-founder of GoInStore, commented: “We are delighted to have been accepted to join the Mayor of London’s GotoGrow Programme.

“We are looking forward to exploring the opportunities on offer to help us further expand our business in the EU and North America, and to enter new markets. We are also excited to meet other London based innovators involved in the programme.”

GoInStore connects staff to web customers, enabling personal interactions, and is already working with Dyson, Porsche Museum and Thomann.

Monthly opportunities are available for people to engage with potential clients, and facilitated workshops are held to tackle business issues and prepare for international growth.

Support is made available to companies selected for the scheme in five key ways: access is provided to a large number of mentors with geographic and sector specific experience, companies can join tailored and funded trade missions to help them enter new markets.

Participation in the free programme is by application only to ensure that each company is of the right size and scale to be able to take full advantage of the benefits.

Scheduled trade missions include a visit to Lille, France, this November and a longer mission to visit Dubai and the Australian cities of Melbourne and Sydney next June.

During that extended mission, the Retail Tech trade mission will visit some of the nations’ leading department stores and their most successful retailers as well as local organisations and peer innovators.
