JCT600 wins another national award

One of the UK’s leading independent motor retailers, JCT600, has again been recognised for the strength of its finance and insurance performance in 2017, this time winning the Franchised Dealer of the Year Award at last week’s F&I Conference & Awards event (19th October).

This follows the Bradford-based family business’ success at The Car Finance Awards earlier this year when it won The Best Retailer for Finance Award.

JCT600 won the F&I Award as it was the franchised dealer or dealer group that best convinced the judges that it had fully integrated compliance and F&I processes successfully into its business. The judges were looking for ‘a shining example of best practice’ with the winner having shown that the sometimes conflicting agendas of sales and F&I had been successfully combined to produce an F&I performance (and customer experience) of which to be proud.

Simon Barrass, finance and insurance director at JCT600 said: “I am extremely grateful for the efforts of all my colleagues and very proud that we have been recognised this way as we progress to another record breaking F&I performance in 2017.”

Held at New Dock Hall in Leeds and hosted by DealTrak, the 7th annual F&I Conference and Awards welcomed hundreds of industry delegates from motor dealers and finance brokers to lenders, insurers and other F&I suppliers.

Founded in 1946 as Brooklands Garage on Sticker Lane, Bradford, by current chairman Jack Tordoff, JCT600 has grown from a single dealership into the largest privately owned business in Yorkshire. With 50 dealerships from Yorkshire and the North East to Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, the group represents 18 of the world’s leading car marques and has a team of 2,200 colleagues.
