A 'Blooming' marvellous space for female entrepreneurs is now open
The first ever workspace and members club specifically for female entrepreneurs has opened today (October 30) in London.
Blooms is the idea of Lu Li, its CEO and founder of Blooming Founders. The company aims to become the capital’s first business club designed to create an inspiring, down-to-earth environment for female founders to work from.
Based in Shoreditch, it provides a credit-based membership, access to mentoring sessions and investors, as well as on-site creche and constant access.
Lu Li commented: “Blooms is a new milestone that is part of the Blooming Founders mission to build a support infrastructure for female entrepreneurship.
“We wanted to create an environment that was female founder friendly, but open to everybody. Blooms’ vision as London’s first female-focused business club is to create an inspirational environment for founders to work from and do business in.
“By providing the right setting and access to a diverse community, to enable our members to focus on work, life and success whilst providing a sanctuary. We’ve gained fantastic support from investors, experts and other mentors, to help our growing community, and we’ve seen a real appetite for our memberships.”
The business was founded in 2015, and has built a community for entrepreneurial women to meet like-minded people and share knowledge and experience. Since it began, Blooming Founders has grown into London’s largest network of female entrepreneurs.
The company has created its own space to meet such needs, and while the space is predominantly female-led and focused, it is open to all genders.
In addition to the co-working and members club, Blooming Founders will be launching a new digital platform using technology developed by The HUB Exchange, which works with Founders Factory. The platform is to provide an online space where Founders can connect with investors.
Blooming Founders has been known to be a startup with minimal financial resources, and built entirely on traction from its community, consisting of over 2,100 founders across 35 countries, but most of them from London.
The network is planning to expand further in the future with more Blooms locations and has connections with other women-focused communities including DevelopHer, Women Who Code, DrivenWoman, She Can Code, and GeekGirl Meetup UK.
