New General Manager Takes the Helm at the Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow Hotel
Manchester Airport’s Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow Hotel has announced this week the appointment of Hayley Lane as their new general manager.
Hayley joins the team following the departure of the previous incumbent of six years, John Scott, and brings with her over twelve years of experience in the hospitality sector.
‘I am delighted to be joining the Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow’ said Hayley
‘The Hotel has undergone a major investment, refurbishment and exciting transformation in the last few years, which has given it huge advantages in the local business travel and conference sectors.’
‘Our main focus is to maximise on the potential offered by the Hotel’s improvements. We have a strong reputation on which to build and through continued investment in both our product and our people we aim to be the go to venue for both the local market and those visiting the area. We will be introducing new sales and marketing initiatives in the next few months, based on the flexibility of our packages and quality of service that we deliver, that will take the Hotel into 2018 in a strong position. The local hotel market is competitive and growing, and we certainly have some exciting challenges ahead. I am very much looking forward to meeting them head on!’
In 2016, the Hotel completed a two million pound development project adding 19 contemporary new bedrooms and making dramatic design improvements, both internally and externally, to the existing 1970’s hotel extension. The Hotel owners also invested one and a half million pounds in the property in 2014 to create 12 new en-suite bedrooms, increased lounge space on the ground floor and to launch the successful Restaurant One Eighty. The Hotel has also recently invested in a solid wood gazebo in the stunning gardens which has now been licensed for outdoor ceremonies.
