Lancashire translation company celebrates ‘proud moment’ after launching in NYC

North West translation company Language Insight is going transatlantic with the launch of an office in the US.

The Lancashire-based firm opened a new site on Lexington Avenue in New York City to serve its growing portfolio of American clients.

Language Insight, which has an office in London, also plans to expand into Singapore as it approaches its 10th year in business.

Donna Twose, who founded the company as Transcription Global in Preston, said: “Opening in New York is an incredibly proud moment for us as a company.

“But it is also a well deserved one, because it recognises the collective team effort from everyone here at Language Insight and in our country translation teams around the world.”

Rachel Hurley, the company’s senior marketing executive, said she believes that despite the prevalence of communication platforms such as email and Skype, giving US clients access to a Language Insight office will promote “feelings of reassurance, partnership and confidence in our strength and ability”.

She continued: “By immersing ourselves directly into the US market we can understand our clients better.

“Proximity to our clients promotes an unspoken feeling of assurance. Permanent offices give a statement of intent and of long-term establishment.”

Language Insight offers translation, transcription and interpreting services covering French, Spanish, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Chinese and Arabic.
