Sheffield heating solutions manufacturer sold to Wigan plumbing group

A Sheffield-based heating solutions provider has been sold to the shareholders of Wigan-based Rothwell Plumbing Services Group Limited.

Wakefield-based fds Director Services secured the sale of the firm, which comprises HeatLink (Technical Solutions) Limited and HeatLink (Client Services) Limited.

The deal was headed by fds Director Services managing director, Poonam Kaur, who worked alongside Roger Dyson, head of hlw Keeble Hawson’s corporate team and hlw Keeble Hawson solicitor, Henry Hill.

Heatlink Technical Solutions was formed in 2004 by former owner Alan Barber, to provide a facility to the HAVC industry, designing and producing heat interface units.

HeatLink Client Services was later established in 2010 to provide a meter reading and billing service.

Alan Barber commented: “When we made the decision to sell our business we had no idea how to go about it at all. fds were highly recommended to us and after the first initial meeting we were immediately put at ease about the sales process; we were delighted with their friendliness and professionalism, (attributes not always found together)!

“Poonam Kaur was dealing with our sale and has been superb throughout, her knowledge and professionalism (and general niceness) has been invaluable. We have needed a lot of hand-holding and encouragement and she has always been only a telephone call away.”

Poonam Kaur of fds said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed working on this project and as a result built a close relationship with the former owners of HeatLink.

“I am so pleased we have sold the Company to candidates the owners are confident will continue the high-level of service and take HeatLink to the next level.”

Reflecting on the service provided by hlw Keeble Hawson, Alan Barber added: “Roger Dyson and Henry Hill have taken us through the process and have throughout been exceedingly professional and patient in looking after our interests and keeping us informed. We believe they have worked tirelessly to achieve the best outcome for us.”

Roger Dyson of hlw Keeble Hawson also commented: “We have been delighted to assist HeatLink’s founders and former directors Sandra and Alan Barber in this transaction which should enable the HeatLink business to continue and prosper under its new owners.”
