Paddington packs his case and heads to Cannock
Having featured in the new M&S Christmas advert, Paddington Bear is anticipated to be the number one toy this Christmas, and an independent shop has become the official stockist in Staffordshire.
Little Gems Nursery and Baby Wear at High Green Court in Cannock signed a contract with exclusive producer of the popular toys, Rainbow Designs.
The business has seen footfall increase significantly thanks to the marmalade-loving bear who has been flying off the shelves.
From cycling Paddington to dancing Paddington, the shop has a selection of the official bears who became a box office star last week with the release of his new film, Paddington 2.
Darran Neal of Little Gems said: “I signed the contract with Rainbow Designs after meeting Paddington at a trade show in Cologne earlier this year.
“He has been a hit not just with children, but with adults alike who have shown just as much interest and excitement.”
Chris Salmon, Asset Manager for High Green Court, added: “It’s great to see people visiting High Green Court to get the official Paddington Bear toy.
“Cannock is constantly growing in popularity and the nation’s favourite bear has certainly brought some Christmas spirit to the destination.”
The official selection of Paddington Bear toys is available at Little Gems Nursery and Baby Wear at High Green Court in Cannock now, and buyers are urged to snap one up this festive period.
